HKM - the set consisting of HK3 and 1 drive unit for multiple barn systems

Multiple stall system - Set of flap controller HK3 + 1 additional drive unit HKM for a total of 2 flaps

Control up to 2 flaps with a single flap actuator.

The set of the multi-barn system includes the HK3 chicken flap with circuit for attracting light and 1 additional HKM drive. These open and close flaps either by setting from the HK3 or with remote buttons.
The main system HK3 and the drive units HKM are connected via a special 4-wire cable or the cheaper variant, a network cable Cat 5 or higher (without plug), whereby 2 wires must always be used together. Cable not included, please order separately.

Real emergency stop or emergency opening function:

If there is an animal under the slide during the closing process, the motor is automatically stopped and the flap is opened again immediately. The closing process is automatically repeated several times. No animal has to free itself under the weight of the flap, as is usual with all other manufacturers!
This feature can be disabled in the settings.

Optional connection options:

• Connection for external button (for manual OPEN and CLOSE operation).
• Connection for external remote display. Only shows the status of the HK3, not the individual drive units HKM.
• outside light sensor. (If the HK3 is installed indoors, an external outdoor light sensor is required).
• Attracting light - LED lamp 1x 12V 12W or max. 2x 12V 6W
• Wireless remote control (outdoor range: approx. 20 - 30 m), only applicable for HK3

Operating mode:

Operating modes for opening and closing, the combinations between twilight sensor and timer.

time and light

• Opening time for morning. Flap is opened when it is light and the set opening time has been reached. Both conditions must apply.
• Closing time delay for evenings. The flap is closed when it gets dark and when the set closing time delay (in minutes) has been reached or expired. Both conditions must apply.

time or light (+ delay time)

• One of the set conditions for twilight or time must be reached.

Just time

• Lighting conditions are ignored.

Light only (+ delay time)

• The set % value of the light sensor must be reached. The flap then closes immediately or after the set closing time delay

Manually

• Open and close with button

attract light:

• Light bar 12V DC up to 12W can be connected directly as an attraction light.
• Decoy light turns on at dusk and before the hatch closes.

Emergency power supply NSM (can also be ordered as an option):

You can select the variant with emergency power supply NSM above under the price.

The emergency power module is operated with a "12V 23AE" battery. Non-rechargeable !!
The battery serves as protection against failure in the event of a power loss. If the main supply fails, all devices close the flaps with the help of the batteries.
When the power supply is restored, HK3 and HKM restart and are ready for operation. All settings are retained.

An external outdoor light sensor is required for indoor installation or if the installation location is in the shade. For wall mounting, only use the 4 pre-drilled openings in the corners of the housing, each next to the cover attachment.

Drive unit HKM:

The settings for opening and closing the flaps on the HKM drive units are made in the HK3.

With the external drive units HKM, an HK3 can control additional flaps. The HKM drive unit can only open and close flaps. Either by setting from the HK3 or with remote buttons.
In the event of a power failure, an emergency supply battery is only used to close the individual flaps.

The main system HK3 and the additional drive unit HKM are connected via a special 4-wire cable or the cheaper variant, a network cable Cat 5 or higher (without plug). This means that 2 wires must always be used together as one line.
Cables are not included, please order separately. The different conditions in your barn, such as the distances between the individual flaps, make it more cost-effective for you if the right lengths of cable are ordered right away.
