The main purpose of the COMPACTA 12L hopper feeder is to feed the animals without wasting food. The anti-waste grill is specially designed to allow the animals to eat properly and at the same time prevent them from spilling the feed from the bowl with their beak. This allows for food savings as well as cleaner bedding as unwanted animals will not find anything to eat.
The three holes on the bottom of the body allow for any number of regulation levels of feed in the bowl. Regulation is done by inserting the pin into one of the holes on the body.
The ring on the top of the body allows hanging the feeder. Also, the lid protects the feeder from dirt.
In addition, there is a kit with 4 legs that can be inserted into the corresponding slots on the bottom of the tray to raise the feeder 65 mm above the ground for cleaner feeding and preparation it easier for adult animals. If you want to use it with chicks, the feeder should be placed directly on the floor.
