HK3-RH chicken flap 230x340mm as frame device with self-locking and integrated circuit for a baiting light

The HK3 opens and closes automatic flaps on poultry and chicken coops, aviaries or small animal enclosures at dusk or time or in a combination of both.

Real emergency stop or emergency opening function:

If there is an animal under the slide during the closing process, the motor is automatically stopped and the flap is opened again immediately. The closing process is automatically repeated several times. No animal has to free itself under the weight of the flap, as is usual with all other manufacturers!
This feature can be disabled in the settings.

Self-locking:

The frame device is equipped with a self-locking mechanism. The JOS Technik chicken flap locks itself when closed. An animal such as a fox, marten, etc. cannot push this flap up! 

Optional connection options:

• Connection for external button (for manual OPEN and CLOSE operation).
• Connection for external remote display.
• outside light sensor. (If the HK3 is installed indoors, an external outdoor light sensor is required).
• Attracting light 12V 12W.
• Wireless remote control (outdoor range: approx. 20 - 30 m)

The following functions can be set on the integrated display:

Date and Time:

• Current time
• Current date
• Summertime

Menu - Languages:

• DE (German),
• FR (French),
• EN (English)
• NL (Dutch)

Operating mode:

Operating modes for opening and closing, the combinations between twilight sensor and timer.

• time and light

o Opening time for morning. Flap is opened when it is light and the set opening time has been reached. Both conditions must apply.

o Closing time delay for evenings. The flap is closed when it gets dark and when the set closing time delay (in minutes) has been reached or expired. Both conditions must apply.

• Time or Light (+ Time Delay)

o One of the set conditions for twilight or time must be reached.

• Just time

o Lighting conditions are ignored.

• Light only (+ time delay)

o The set % value of the light sensor must be reached. The flap then closes immediately or after the set closing time delay

• Manually

o Open and close with button

attract light:

• When power is supplied via a 230V / 12V DC plug-in power supply unit or a solar module, an attracting light with a 12V DC 12W light strip can be switched.
• Decoy light turns on at dusk and before the hatch closes. 

An external outdoor light sensor is required for indoor installation or if the installation location is in the shade. For wall mounting, only use the 4 pre-drilled openings in the corners of the housing, each next to the cover attachment.
